AGO lifted the ESL Polish Championship Spring trophy and secured $8,400 in prize money by defeating Kinguin 2-0 in the grand final (Mirage 16-11, Overpass 16-12).
The ESL Polish Championship Spring LAN Finals kicked off with two semi-final matches where we saw AGO and Kinguin defeat x-kom and PACT, respectively, both matched ending with 2-1 scorelines.
The two winning teams advanced to the BO3 grand final which started on Kinguin's pick, Mirage. However, it was AGO that would end up taking the early lead, claiming the CT pistol and running up to a 5-2 advantage. Jacek "MINISE" Jeziak than showed up big with a 3K in a 2v3, but his team would end up reset and AGO was back on track, extending to 8-3.
Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas's squad struck back at the end of the half, minimising their deficit to 8-7 before the switch came in. Unfortunately for them, AGO picked up the second pistol round as well, giving them a big enough advantage to close out the game on the T-side, 16-11.
AGO added a third pistol round to their count as Overpass started off, but Kinguin was quick to strike back this time, winning a CT force buy to take the lead (3-1). With a double entry, Mateusz "TOAO" Zawistowski broke open the defense on his team's first buy round, starting a streak of eight rounds won. Kinguin woke up towards the end of the half, but they still switched to the less favorable side trailing 9-6.
Karol "rallen" Rodowicz was on point on the T side, getting key kills that helped his team stay afloat, but after they grabbed a 12-11 lead, Kinguin's T-side fell apart. Damian "Furlan" Kislowski, seemingly unhampered by the IGL duties, lead his team to the victory with another 25-kill game as AGO closed the series, 2-0, with a 16-12 scoreline on Overpass.
